The learned proxy counsel for the petitioner requests for an adjournment on the ground that the main counsel is not available.

The learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that the present petition has become infructuous since the investigation is complete and the final report has also been filed before the learned Trial Court and both the petitioners have been kept in Column No. 12.

consider it apposite to keep the present petition alive since no proceedings or investigation is pending against the petitioners at this stage.

Undisputedly, the complainant has a right to file a protest petition. In such circumstances, the petitioner is at liberty to file a petition afresh in case any grievance remains in future. 5.
