The instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 („Cr.P.C.‟) seeks following prayer:
"a) Pass an appropriate writ, order or direction thereby directing the Respondent No. 1 & 2 to provide adequate security to protect the life and liberty of the Petitioner Nos. 1 & 2 from the Respondent No.3 to 5. b) Any other or further Orders, which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case may also be passed in favour of the petitioner."

Brief facts of the case are that petitioners herein had got married on 25.10.2023 according to Hindu Rites and Ceremonies against the wishes of parents of petitioner no. 1. However, after marriage, petitioner no. 1 telephonically informed her parents about the marriage, upon which they threatened the petitioner no. 1 that she will have to break her relationship, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. otherwise they will eliminate them. Due to threat perception, petitioners are not able to return and reside at their home and they are roaming here and there.

Learned ASC for the State, on instructions from Investigating Officer who is present in Court, submits that the last address where the petitioners are residing has been verified.

Heard the submissions on behalf of petitioners as well as the State. 5.
Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, and the fact that petitioners have prayed for protection of their life as they are apprehending threat from respondent no. 3 to 5 for having solemnized the marriage against their wishes, the petitioners are directed to provide their mobile numbers to the Investigating Officer and SHO. Similarly, the mobile numbers of concerned IO, SHO and beat constable be also shared with the petitioners.

The officials of P.S. Dabri, including SHO are directed to provide adequate protection to the petitioners from respondent no. 3 to 5, in case such circumstances arise.

Learned counsel for petitioners states that she is satisfied with the aforesaid arrangement.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of in above terms.
