This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 2.
Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to Letter of Award dated 17.05.2007 issued by the Petitioner in favour of the Respondent and there being an arbitration agreement between the parties, Petitioner invoked Arbitration Clause 11 vide notice dated 25.04.2020 and nominated its nominee Arbitrator. On 08.06.2020, Respondent nominated its Arbitrator and both Arbitrators jointly appointed the Presiding Arbitrator. On 21.06.2020, the Arbitral Tribunal entered upon reference. Mr. Rajat Taimni, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the Arbitrator.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the Arbitrator is extended by a period of 06 months from 04.07.2025. 6.
Petition is allowed and disposed of along with pending application in the aforesaid terms.
