The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:

i. Writ of Mandamus be issued to the respondents to unblock the entry of Ms. Lamun Puratasa (citizen of Thailand, passport no. AA4663829) to India, forthwith; 2.

The petitioner claims that he was in a live-in relationship with a national of Thailand (hereafter "Ms. LP"). It is stated that the petitioner has a male child with Ms. LP, who was born in India on 27.03.2014. He is currently in the care of his mother in Thailand. It is stated that Ms. LP was visiting India regularly since July 2012, on tourist visas. She last visited India from January, 2017 to July 2017. However, the said visit was on a business visa.

Ms. LP applied for a visa in 2017, which was denied as she had been put on Grade-C blacklist. It is stated that Ms. LP was put on a blacklist, on account of certain minor visa violations.

Mr. Amit Mahajan, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the case of Ms. LP is likely to be reviewed in July 2019, as two years from the date she was put on Grade-C blacklist, would elapse by then. He submits that in a normal case, the concerned person's name is removed from the blacklist on such review. However, Ms. LP would have to apply for a visa afresh which would be considered, in accordance with the relevant policy and procedures.

Mr Nischal, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner is satisfied if the petitioner's case is reviewed in July, 2019. 5.

Mr. Mahajan has contested the present petition on several fronts, including on maintainability. However, this Court is not inclined to examine rival contentions since the petitioner is satisfied with the statement made by Mr Mahajan that Ms LP's status would be reviewed in July, 2019. 6.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition.

The petition is disposed of.
