It is stated by the learned Counsel for the Respondent No.2 that negotiations are going on between the shopkeepers of the Petitioner Association and the Respondents. He states that many shopkeepers have accepted the package offered by the DMRC for rehabilitation. 2.
It is stated by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner that the fact that a few shopkeepers have accepted the package does not mean that the rehabilitation of the persons who are to be displaced is as per their legal entitlement.

In view of the fact that negotiations are still going on between the Petitioner Association and the Respondents, this Court is not inclined to proceed further with the matter.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of along with the pending applications, if any.

Needless to state that it is always open for the Petitioner Association to approach this Court again in case negotiations fail or if the rehabilitation is not done as per the prevailing policy.

It is also made clear that this Court has not made any observations on the merits of the case.
