Exemptions allowed, subject to all just exceptions. 2.

The application stands disposed of.

The petitioner seeks protection on the ground that she has married against the wishes of her parents and is facing threat from her parents.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner states that complaint in this regard was given to the police and when the police called the petitioner and her parents to the Police Station, threats were also extended in front of Police personnel. 5.

The learned Standing Counsel, at the outset, on instructions, states that since the dispute was between the family members, all members of the family were called to the Police The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Station and they were all sensitized and a counselling was also given.

He states that the parents of the petitioner have stated that they do not want to have any relation with the petitioner or her husband.

He submits that certain heated words were exchanged due to the sensitivity of the situation and the relation between the parties, however, the parents had assured that they do not intend to take law into their hands.

He fairly states that the mobile number of the concerned Beat Officer would be provided and the petitioner would be at liberty to call the Beat Officer or make an appropriate complaint as and when she feels any threat to life and liberty and prompt action will be taken.

Considering the above, no orders are required to be passed at this stage. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned Police Station/ Beat Officer in case she apprehends any threat to her life.

Needless to say, the State is duty bound to protect life and liberty of every citizen and as and when any such complaint is received, they are expected to take prompt action. 11.
