% 10.02.2017 It is submitted that the petitioners and respondent nos.2 & 3 are neighbours. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial matter resulting in registration of FIR No.142/2015 on the complaint of respondent no.2. Due to the intervention of common friends and the relatives, petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled their dispute vide a Settlement Deed dated 7th January, 2017. It is, therefore, prayed that FIR No 142/2015 u/s 354/354A/506/354B/354D IPC and Section 8 POSCO Act, registered at PS Harsh Vihar may be quashed.

It has also been pointed out that on the complaint of respondent no.3, FIR No.315/2015 u/s 354B/354D/509 IPC and Section 12 POSCO Act, was also registered at PS Harsh Vihar and the subject matter thereof has also been settled.

Respondent nos.2 & 3, who are mother and daughter respectively. They are present in the court today and have been identified by the IO SI

Kunal Kishore. It is submitted that respondent no.3 has now attained majority. It is further submitted by the respondent nos. 2 & 3 that they have settled the matter with the petitioners out of their own free will and without any undue pressure, force and coercion and have no objection in case aforementioned FIR No.142/2015 u/s 354/354A/506/354B/354D IPC and Section 8 POSCO Act, registered at PS Harsh Vihar is quashed. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served by continuing the present criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice FIR No 142/2015 u/s 354/354A/506/354B/354D IPC and Section 8 POSCO Act, registered at PS Harsh Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
