The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking following relief:

"a) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus and/or any other appropriate writ, direction or order of like nature thereby directing the Respondent to decide the application of the Petitioners for extension of approval vis-à-vis D. Pharm course with an intake of 60 students for the academic session 20252026" 2.

Mr. Abhijeet Vikram Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submits that petitioner is an existing institution with prior approval and valid affiliation. Petitioner had applied for extension of approval for D.Pharm seats for the academic session 2025-2026. 3.

He submits that the application was filed as early in January, 2025, but the same has not been considered till date. He invites attention of the Court to an order dated 09.03.2025 passed by the High Court of Allahabad (Lucknow Bench) in WRIT-C-No. 6289/2025 titled as Ram Niwas Singh College of Pharmacy, Ayodhya v. State of UP and other connected matters, to contend that the Court has noted in the said order that the entire counselling process has been quashed pursuant to the order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in MA No. 711/2025 in CA No. 9048/2012.

He submits that further direction has also been given to the respondent/PCI to pass orders on the pending application for grant of approval within two weeks positively. He urges the Court that similar relief may be granted to the petitioner.

Having regard to the above position, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent/PCI to decide the application of the petitioner for extension of approval for D. Pharm seats within a period of two weeks from today.

Pending application also stands disposed of.
