O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 465/2019 Ms. Kiran Suri, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 29A(4) and 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of time effective from August 06, 2019 when the initial period of one year had expired. She states that as the proceedings are at the pleading stage, a period of one year be granted to the Arbitral Tribunal to complete the proceedings and render the award.
Learned counsel for the respondent has given his consent for
extension of time for the Arbitral Tribunal to complete the proceedings and render the award.
Noting the contents of the petition and the consent having been given by the learned counsel for the respondent, the time for the Arbitral Tribunal to complete the proceedings and render the award is extended by a period of one year effective from August 06, 2019. The petition stands disposed of.
