The Petitioner is a convict serving a life sentence in terms of FIR No. 678/2009, registered under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, at P.S. Shakarpur. Through the present petition, he submits that he has been in custody for over 14 years, during which time he has maintained good conduct. As such, he seeks a mandamus directing the Respondent and/or the Sentence Review Board, GNCTD1 to consider his case and grant him premature release as per the prevalent policies. 2.
