A Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed on behalf of the Petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No.288/2024 under Section 392/34 IPC registered at Police Station Paschim Vihar East, New Delhi, in view of the Settlement dated 06.03.2025. 2.

A Complaint had filed an Application under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C in the Court, which was allowed by the learned M.M, West District, Tis Hazari, Delhi vide Order dated 12.04.2024, on the basis of which the FIR No.288/2024 under Section 392/34 IPC had been registered at Police Station The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. It is submitted that it is a matrimonial dispute in so much as the Complainant is the mother-in-law of the Petitioner who had made allegations of her jewelry having been snatched by the Respondent/daughter-in-law. It is further submitted that vide Settlement dated 06.03.2025 both, the Petitioner and Respondent No. 2 have already sorted out their all differences with the intervention of their respective persons of the vicinity and they have left no grudge or grievance against each other in any manner whatsoever. Therefore, the Petition be quashed. 4.

The Complainant is present in the Court and submits that the matter stands settled with the Petitioner. She has no objection if the FIR is quashed against the Petitioner on account of the settlement already arrived at between the parties.

The parties are present before this Court in-person today, and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer concerned. 6.

In view of the submissions made, the Petition is allowed. Accordingly, the FIR bearing No. 288/2024 registered at Police Station Paschim Vihar, East, for offences punishable under Sections 392/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 with all the subsequent proceedings and the charge sheet is hereby quashed qua the Petitioner.

The Petition stands disposed of.
