The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking that the respondents be directed to release the ex-gratia compensation amount of Rs. 1,00,00,000/- (Rupees One Crore only), in accordance with the Cabinet Decision No. 2835 dated 13.05.2020, issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi/respondent no. 1.

During the course of hearing, a status report has been submitted on behalf of respondent no.1 which inter alia records as under:- "4. Accordingly, a sanction order dated 03.10.2025 amounting to Rs. 1,00,00,000/- (Rupees One Crore Only) has been issued in favour of husband of deceased Sh. Manjeet. The copy of sanction order dated 03.10.2025 is enclosed at Annexure-I."

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that in terms of sanction granted, the payment will be released to the petitioner expeditiously. The said statement is taken on record.

The above redresses the grievance of the petitioner. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of.
