The present petition under Section 528 of the BNSS seeks quashing of FIR No. 0583/2023, under Sections 408/411/182 of the IPC, registered at P.S. Bhajan Pura, and all the other consequential proceedings emanating therefrom including the chargesheet filed and pending before the Court of Mr. Pankaj Rai, learned JMFC, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the latter is the employee of respondent no.2 and due to some misunderstanding between them, present FIR was registered. It is further submitted that with the intervention of their well wishers, the parties have since compromised their disputes and hence, the present petition has been filed seeking the quashing of the present FIR along with chargesheet.

Copy of the MoU/Settlement Deed dated 13.05.2025 has been placed on record and annexed with the present petition as Annexure- P-3, wherein it has been recorded that the matter between the parties has been settled and they will cooperate with each other in quashing of the present FIR. It is further noted that petitioner is still employed with respondent no. 2/complainant. 6.
Petitioner is present before the Court and respondent no. 2 has appeared before this Court through video conferencing and have been duly identified by their respective counsels, as well as the Investigating Officer, ASI Naushad Haider, PS Bhajanpura.

The Complainant/respondent No.2 states that the matter has been settled with the petitioner and he has no objection if the FIR is quashed against the petitioner. He further states that all the terms of the settlement have been complied with and further that, the petitioner is still employed with him. 8.
Learned APP for the State submits that the chargesheet in the present case has been filed and the same is pending before the learned Trial Court. 9.
In Gian Singh v. State of Punjab, (2012) 10 SCC 303, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has recognized the need of amicable resolution of disputes by observing as under:- "61. ... proceedings would tantamount to abuse of process of law despite settlement and compromise between the victim and the wrongdoer and whether to secure the ends of justice, it is appropriate that criminal case is put to an end and if the answer to the above question(s) is in the affirmative, the High Court shall be well within its jurisdiction to quash the criminal proceeding." 10.
In view of the aforesaid circumstances, and that fact that the parties have put a quietus to the dispute, no useful purpose will be served in continuing with the present FIR No. 0583/2023, under Sections 408/411/182 of the IPC, registered at P.S. Bhajan Pura, and all the other consequential proceedings emanating therefrom including the chargesheet filed and pending before the Court of Mr. Pankaj Rai, learned JMFC, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi.

In the interest of justice, the petition is allowed, and the FIR No. 0583/2023, under Sections 408/411/182 of the IPC, registered at P.S. Bhajan Pura, and all the other consequential proceedings emanating therefrom including the chargesheet filed and pending before the Court of Mr. Pankaj Rai, learned JMFC, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi, is hereby quashed. 12.
The present petition is allowed and disposed of accordingly. 13.
