The petitioner filed the instant writ petition seeking the following prayer:
"Issue appropriate writ directing the Respondent to provide new meter for electricity connection to the Petitioner at Juggi No. 124, Prayog Vihar, Hari Nagar, New Delhi-110064."

A bare perusal of the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 would reveal that here exists already an alternate grievance mechanism which is statutory in nature.

Let the petitioner to approach Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum under the Electricity Act, 2003 for ventilation of his grievances. 4.
On approaching the said Authority, the Authority concerned to deal with the petitioner's grievance in accordance with law. 5.
Reserving that liberty in favour of the petitioner, the petition stands disposed of.
