This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 329/2014, under Sections 323/341/354/354B/506/509 IPC, P.S. Mansarover Park on the basis of a settlement between the parties dated 07th March, 2024, which is on record of this Court.

The petitioner and respondent No.2 are present in Court and duly identified by the IO and the counsel. Respondent No.2/complainant states that the parties were neighbours and the issue arose out of some altercation between the parties, which now stands resolved and she does not pursue the said FIR and proceedings any further.

The petitioner, who is present in Court, states that he shall provide his service as part of community services at Gurudwara, Bangla Sahib on every Sunday for the next two months, for at least an hour at the minimum. 4.

A copy of the same will be provided to the IO. 5.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 329/2014, under Sections 323/341/354/354B/506/509 IPC, P.S. Mansarover Park and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 7.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
