This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. l 286/2014 PS Begumpur under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC on the basis of a settlement arrived at between the parties through the facilitation of the Counselling Cell, Rohini Courts dated 13th March, 2024 which is on record of this Court. 2.

Petitioner No.1 and respondent No.2 were married on 18th November, 2013 but due to matrimonial discord the marriage has resulted in a divorce dated 07th June, 2024. There is no child born out of wedlock. 3.

As per the settlement, at this stage, an outstanding balance amount of Rs.5 Lacs is being paid which is tendered vide DD No.199109 drawn on Yes Bank to respondent No.2 which is duly received it in Court. 4.

Petitioner Nos.1-9 and respondent No.2 are present in Court and duly identified by the IO.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the of FIR No. l 286/2014 PS Begumpur under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 7.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
