This matter has been received on transfer from the Court of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Amit Mahajan, since the Court is on leave today. 2.

This petition has been filed for quashing of FIR no. 687/2007 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC on the ground of settlement dated 13th March, 2018 arrived at with the facilitation of Delhi Mediation Centre, Rohini Courts which is on record of this Court.

Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 (complainant) have reconciled and are living harmoniously with each other as a married couple. 4.

confirm the same.

Petitioner nos. 2-3 are also present in Court. 6.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 687/2007 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Sultanpuri and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 8.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
