% 19.02.2018 Petitioner is seeking anticipatory protection.

FIR No.0618/2016 has been registered on 30.8.2016 under Sections 307/394/397/341 read with Section 34 of the IPC as also under Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act on the complaint of the complainant. Learned counsel for petitioner points out that the injury suffered by the victim was only simple and he was discharged on the next day. Co-accused Dilshad and Fahim who had opened fire have also been granted bail.

The State opposes this petition. It is stated that Dilshad and Fahim who have granted bail are not on anticipatory bail but both of them have been granted regular bail. The allegation against the petitioner is that he had taken out Rs.8600/- from the pocket of the complainant at the time when the fire arms were being used by the co-

accused. Petitioner has not joined the investigation. He has also declared a proclaimed offender. Offence is serious. No ground is made out for anticipatory protection.

Petition dismissed.
