The Present Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226(2) of the Constitution of India and Section 482 CrPC has been filed on behalf of the petitioner, with the following prayers:
"a. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the Respondent Nos. 1-3 to provide adequate protection to the Petitioner;
b. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the Respondent Nos. 1-3 to restrain the Respondent Nos. 4-5 from committing any act of violence against the Petitioner; entering his place of residence, or employment; attempting to communicate with him in any form; or causing violence to his friends who have provided him assistance; c.

The police protection has already been granted to the petitioner vide Order dated 08.11.2023.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the police protection is being provided by the respondents. However, in January, 2024, she has shifted to tenanted premises, the verification of which was directed to be carried out by the respondents. The status report has now come that the lease agreement does not bear the name of the petitioner. However, from the statement of the petitioner, it is apparent that she shifted to rented premises. She further submits that she would not be seeking further protection in case she changes her address.

The Petition is disposed of, in terms of the Order dated 08.11.2023. It is, however, clarified that in case the petitioner shifts her address and faces the similar apprehension of threat, she shall be at liberty to move the Petition afresh.

The Petition is disposed of accordingly. The pending application also stands disposed of.
