This is a petition under Section 29A of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 3 months.

It is stated that the matter is at the stage of final arguments and on account of voluminous record, the arbitration took some time. 6.
For the said reasons, issue notice. Ms. Khunger, learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and has no objection to the petition being allowed.

Ms. Nehra, learned counsel for the petitioner makes an oral request for extension of time by 6 months for the Arbitral Tribunal. 8.
I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown. 9.
For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by 6 months to complete and publish the award w.e.f. 01.07.2024.

The period from 01.07.2024 till today stands regularised. 11.
The petition is allowed and disposed of.
