The petitioners who are Head Constable (Pioneers) in the Central Reserve Police Force [CRPF] have approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:- "a. Issue a writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the quashing the Central Reserve Police Force, Pioneer Cadre (Group 'B' and Group 'C' Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2024, to the extent that for the recruitment to SI/Civil post, the share of promotional quota from the rank of HC/Pioneer has been reduced to 10% from 50%. b. Issue a writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, directing the quashing the Central Reserve Police Force, Pioneer Cadre (Group 'B' and Group 'C' Posts) Recruitment Rules; 2010 which is used to extend that for the recruitment to SI/Civil Post." 2.

were to be considered as a representation by the respondents and decided in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel for the respondents who appear on advance notice has no objection to this limited request.

In light of this stand taken by the parties, we are of the view that instead of the present writ petition being treated as a representation, the petitioners ought to submit a comprehensive representation to the respondents raising the specific grievances.

We, accordingly, dispose of the writ petition by granting the petitioners four weeks' time to submit a representation to the respondents raising their grievances as are subject matter of the present petition which representation will be decided by the respondents within a period of eight weeks by passing a reasoned and speaking order. 6.

Needless to state since this Court has not examined the merits of the grounds urged in the present petition, in case the petitioners are aggrieved by any order passed by the respondents, it will be open for them to seek legal recourse as permissible in law.
