By way of the present petitions under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners, who are aspiring to join the Assam Rifles as Havaldar (Clerk), have approached this Court seeking the following reliefs: (i) Issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to fill one The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. vacant post of Havaldar (Clerk) for the State of Maharashtra under Assam Rifles Technical & Tradesmen Recruitment Rally, 2023 and to disclose the marks obtained by the petitioner and the selected candidates in the written examination conducted with respect to Assam Rifles Technical & Tradesmen Recruitment Rally, 2023; (ii) Pass any such other orders as it may deem fit to this Hon'ble Court in the facts and circumstances of the case. 2.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the respondents, who appears on advance notice opposes the petitions on the ground of lack of territorial jurisdiction.

In the light of this stand taken by the respondents, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks leave to withdraw the petitions with liberty to file appropriate petitions before the High Court of Meghalaya. 4.

As prayed for, the petitions are disposed of as not pressed with liberty as prayed for, making it clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the petitioners‟ claims.
