(DHCLSC) versus STATE ..... Respondent Through Mr.Avi Singh, ASC with Ms.Anya Singh, Adv.

ASI Prabhakaran PS Chhawla.

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR

O R D E R

% 25.07.2017 The petitioner had asked for being released on parole for maintaining social ties but the aforesaid prayer was rejected by the competent authority by order dated 26.12.2016.

The reasons cited for not acceding to the request of the petitioner was adverse police report and the petitioner having violated the terms and conditions of the parole namely that he had not surrendered on time and had jumped the parole granted to him by the order of this Court. Mr.Avi Singh, ASC, on the strength of the status report, submits that the petitioner has been involved in many cases but in all such cases, he is on bail.

Taking into account his unsatisfactory conduct in jail and his having jumped the parole once, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the order

of the competent authority in rejecting his prayer for being released on parole.

The writ petition is dismissed.
