The Petition under Section 482 Cr.PC, has been filed by the petitioners, namely, Satpal @ Satal Beniwal, Vijay @ Vijay Ved and Pooja, for quashing of the FIR bearing No. 219/2022 under Sections 323/354/354A/498A/506/34 IPC, registered at Police Station Ambedkar Nagar. 2.

It is stated in the petition that the marriage between the respondent No.2 and petitioner No.1 on 23.03.2018 according to Hindu rites and customs. Due to temperamental differences between respondent No.2 and the petitioners, on the statement of respondent No.2 an FIR No.219/2022 dated 06.04.2022 under Sections 323/354/354A/498-A/506/34 was registered against the petitioners.

It is submitted that the petitioners and respondent No. 2 have already sorted out their all differences with the intervention of their near relatives and other family members and they have left no grudge or grievance against each other in any manner whatsoever. Therefore, the Petition be quashed. 4.

The respondent No.2 is present through video conferencing in the Court who endorses the settlement dated 13.04.2024 arrived at between herself and the petitioners as having been arrived at voluntarily without any pressure or coercion. Though, petitioner No.2 is not available, however, the quashing petition is duly signed and supported with the affidavit of petitioner No.2. It is submitted that the petitioners are the father-in-law, sister-in-law and her husband against whom the complaint had been made by respondent No.2 due to some quarrel and misunderstanding. However, now she and her husband have decided to stay separately from the in-laws and there is no dispute between them. The respondent No.2 has no objection if the FIR is quashed against the petitioners on account of the settlement already arrived at between the parties.

In view of the submissions made, the Petition is allowed.

Accordingly, the FIR bearing No. 219/2022 registered at Police Station Ambedkar Nagar, for offences punishable under Sections 323/354/354A/498-A/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 with all the subsequent proceedings and the charge sheet is hereby quashed qua all the petitioners.
