The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR No.0012/2019 under Sections 323/354A/342 IPC, registered with PS Ranjit Nagar and all proceedings emanating therefrom, be quashed. 3.

The said FIR was registered at the instance of respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 is present in the Court and she is identified by the Investigating Officer.

She states that she has no grievances against the petitioner and has resolved all her disputes and differences with him. She

also confirms that she had entered into a settlement agreement dated 30.10.2019 with the petitioner out of her free will and consent. 4.

She states that she does not wish to pursue the FIR in question and joins the petitioner in praying that the FIR in question be quashed. 5.

The petitioner is also present in the Court and he undertakes to this Court that he treats all women with respect and dignity. He states that he has resolved all his disputes and differences with respondent no.2 and prays that the FIR in question be quashed.

He also volunteers that he shall deposit a cost of ₹50,000/- with the Delhi Police Martyrs' Fund.

In view of the statement made by the petitioner and respondent no.2, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition and quash the FIR in question albeit subject to payment of cost as volunteered by the petitioner. The petitioner shall deposit a cost of ₹50,000/- with the Delhi Police Martyrs' Fund within a period of two weeks from today and shall file the proof of the same with the Registry of this Court, as well as submit a copy of the same to the Investigating Officer. 8.

Subject to the aforesaid, the FIR No. No.0012/2019 under Sections 323/354A/342 IPC, registered with PS Ranjit Nagar and all proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.

The concerned parties (petitioner and respondent no.2) shall sign this order as an acknowledgment of their statements recorded herein.

The Registry is directed to place this petition before this Court, if the proof of deposit of cost is not filed within a period of two weeks as stated above.
