The Writ Petition (Criminal) under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed on behalf of the petitioner with the prayer that the respondents be directed to provide round the clock armed security personnel for the security of the petitioner.

was disposed of vide Order 17.05.2024. In terms of the order, the mobile number has been exchanged between the petitioner and the SHO and the IO. Furthermore, it was directed that in case of any complaint, the same shall be acted upon in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that those directions were complied with.

However, the threat perception still continues from time to time. Complaints have been made to the police. It is submitted that he is the ExMLA and has even been directed by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, to be produced through VC on account of the threat perception. Therefore, round the clock armed security personnel has been requested to be posted for his security.

Learned ASC for the State has filed a Status Report. Let the same be taken on record. It is stated in the report that a threat assessment has been carried out by the Special Cell, Delhi and as per the report dated 07.06.2024, there is no specific threat to the assessee.

There are no grounds for issuance of directions for providing the petitioner with round the clock armed security personnel. However, he is at liberty to engaged his own personal security guards. 10.
The Petition is disposed of.
