The present petition is filed seeking direction to the police authorities to take action for safety and security of the petitioners. It is claimed that Petitioner No. 1 is a major and got married to Petitioner No. 2 on 18.06.2024. The petitioners claim that the marriage took place without the consent of the family members of Petitioner No. 1 and the family members are now pressurising them. The Investigating Officer ('IO') of the concerned police station is present and states that when a formal complaint dated 26.06.2024 was received, it was looked into. He states that as and when the complaint is received alleging threat to life and liberty, appropriate action will be taken in accordance with law. He further submits that phone number of the head constable will be provided to the petitioners, who will be at liberty to call as and when any threat is felt by them.

Admittedly, the present petition has been filed only apprehending the threat from the family members. The present petition in the opinion of this Court is premature. Moreover, the learned IO has assured that appropriate action will be taken as and when any complaint is received. 6.

Accordingly, no further orders are required to be passed. 7.

Petition stands disposed of.
