The present petition has been filed by the petitioner praying inter alia for quashing of the order dated 19th June, 2015, passed by the respondent No.3, discharging him from service on the ground of suppressing factual information in the attestation form. 2.

It is pertinent to note that the petitioner is a resident of Thrissur, Kerala and the impugned order has been issued by the Additional Chief Security Commissioner, Maligaon, Guwahati.

The petition has been placed before us by the Registry with an office objection raised with regard to its maintainability in the High Court on the ground that this Court is not vested with the territorial jurisdiction to entertain the petition. W.P.(C) 2198/2016

After addressing arguments on the maintainability of the present petition for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition while reserving the right of the petitioner to assail the impugned discharge order dated 19th June, 2015, passed by the respondent No.3, before the competent court vested with territorial jurisdiction in this regard.

Leave as prayed for is granted.
