This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR no. 214/2024 registered at PS: Mayur Vihar Phase I, Delhi, under Sections 323/376/506 IPC on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties dated 29th July, 2024, which is on record of this Court.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and is duly identified by the IO and the counsel.

She states that there was a consensual relationship for six years with the petitioner and due to some misunderstanding between them she was forced to file this compliant; however, she does not want to pursue this complaint any further as they have resolved their issues subsequently. 4.

Respondent no.2 is aged 33 years old, and is a mature lady and, therefore, her no objection of quashing is taken on record. 5.

Petitioner is also present in Court and is duly identified by the IO and the counsel.

Respondent no.2 states in Court that she has not agreed to the said settlement out of any coercion, any threat or any pressure. This fact is confirmed by counsel who represents her.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 214/2024 under Sections 323/376/506 IPC registered at PS Mayur Vihar Phase I, Delhi and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 9.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
