% 07.02.2017 Issue notice. Mr. Mahajan accepts notice on behalf of the State. The petitioner has preferred this petition to seek a direction to the State to provide police protection to the petitioner and her minor daughter since, it is claimed, that respondents No.3 & 4, who are accused in the case FIR No.31/2017 registered under Section 354/ 323/ 341/ 509/ 34 IPC at PS - OIA, Delhi on the complaint of the petitioner, are threatening the petitioner with murder and rape.

Mr. Mahajan submits that respondents No.3 & 4, who are the accused in the aforesaid FIR, are absconding.

Looking to the aforesaid circumstances, the State is directed to make an assessment of the threat perceived by the petitioner qua her and the minor daughter and to provide protection to them from any harm that may be apprehended by them at the hands of respondents No.3 & 4 or any of their accomplices. The mobile phone number of the Beat Constable of the area and the SHO concerned shall be provided to the petitioner and the call of the petitioner in case of any emergency shall be attended to without any delay.
