% 28.02.2018 Present FIR No. 169/2016 under Sections 354/354(D) IPC was registered at police station Connaught Place, on the complaint of respondent no.2. During the investigation, offence under Section 506 IPC was added. It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 15th December, 2017, therefore, aforesaid FIR may be quashed.
Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Bhishamber Dayal of police station Connaught Place. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.
She has no objection in case FIR and the
consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 is also on record to this effect at pages 19-20. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
