This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2.

The present writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking release of the Petitioner's gold weighing 160 grams consisting of six gold bangles, two tops and one gold necklace.

The case of the Petitioner is that the Petitioner has already succeeded before the Appellate Authority which had directed release of the goods in the following terms:

"6.0 In light of discussions and findings as above, I allow the appeal against AO No. 131 dated 28-06-2023 and order that the impugned Gold weighing 160 grams, valued at Rs. 8,03,301/- be released on payment of redemption fine of Rs. 80,000/- under Section 125 of the Customs Act, 1962 along with applicable duty, interest etc. I uphold the absolute confiscation of cigarettes and penalty imposed on the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Customs Department has filed a revision in June, 2024. Considering the fact that the revision has now been filed, it ought to be disposed of expeditiously. Let the revisional authority dispose of the revision petition by 31st August, 2025.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of in above terms. All pending applications are also disposed of.
