The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondents to arrest the accused persons and to investigate the matter in relation to FIR No. 171/2018 under Sections 379/34 of the IPC registered with PS Nand Nagri.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner does not press the prayer seeking the arrest of any person.

He has restricted the present petition seeking that a direction be issued to the respondents to complete the investigation in an expeditious manner.

Mr. Avi Singh, the learned ASC states that investigations are being conducted and if any representation is made by the petitioner, the same would be duly considered.

The FIR was filed in February, 2018 and a considerable time has since elapsed. In the circumstances, this Court considers it apposite that investigation be completed as expeditiously as possible and preferably, within a period of four weeks from today.
