The instant petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 has been filed by the petitioner praying for quashing of FIR bearing No.252/2022 registered at Police Station Patparganj Industrial Area, Delhi for offences punishable under Sections 323/452/147/148/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Notice. Mr. Rupali Bandhopadya, learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State.

Petitioner is present before this Court and has been identified by his counsel Mr. M.K. Sharma and Investigating Officer (IO) SI Sunil from Police Station Patparganj Industrial Area, Delhi. 4.
On the query made by this Court, respondent no.2 who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that she has entered into compromise out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. amicably settled between the parties vide Compromise Deed dated 17.02.2022 entered into between them.

Today, the complainant who is present in Court states that she has amicably settled the matter with the petitioners with the intervention of respectable persons of the village and family members and has no objection if the FIR is quashed.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 8.
Accordingly, FIR bearing No.252/2022 registered at Police Station Patparganj Industrial Area, Delhi for offences punishable under Sections 323/452/147/148/34 of the IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed subject to the each petitioner depositing the cost of Rs.7,000/- in Delhi High Court Bar Association Library Fund, New Delhi within 10 days and receipt thereof be filed before the Registry of this Court within a week thereafter.
