The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR bearing no. 0222/2019, under Sections 377/498A/406/506/34 of the IPC registered with PS Malviya Nagar and all proceedings emanating therefrom, be quashed.

The said FIR was registered at the instance of respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and identified by the Investigating Officer.

She states that she had filed the said FIR in view matrimonial disputes that had arisen between her and her husband (petitioner no.1). She states that she has since settled all her disputes and differences with her husband and they have secured a decree of divorce by mutual consent. She also confirmed that she has entered into a Settlement Agreement dated 13.09.2019 with petitioner no.1 and a copy of the same has been placed on record.

In terms of the said settlement, petitioner no.1 had agreed to pay a sum of ₹22,00,000/- to respondent no.2 in full and final settlement of all her claims.

Respondent no.2 acknowledges that she has received the entire amount of ₹22,00,000/- and therefore, she has no grievance against the petitioners.

The petitioners are present in Court and they are identified by their counsel. They state that they have no grievance against respondent no.2 and the parties jointly pray that the FIR in question be quashed. 6.

In view of the above, FIR 0222/2019, under Sections 377/498A/406/506/34 of the IPC registered with PS Malviya Nagar and all proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed. 7.

The petition is disposed of.
