The limited relief prayed for by the petitioners in the present petition is for directions to the respondents to grant them monetary benefits, arrears etc. w.e.f. 2006 at par with the batch mates Inspector/ GD Barot Jignesh Kumar & Inspector/GD Manoj Kumar. 2.
On the last date of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners had stated that the earlier writ petition registered as W.P.(C) 8371/2015, entitled Anil Kumar Chauhan Vs. Union of India & ors., seeking seniority at par with the batch mates was allowed on 4th November, 2015, with directions to the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the representation made by the petitioner therein. Learned counsel for the W.P.(C) 2108/2016
petitioners submits that the respondents have not considered the case of similarly placed petitioners.

On the last date of hearing, counsel for the respondents had sought time to obtain instructions from the department. Today, he has handed over a copy of the letter dated 18th December, 2015, addressed by the Directorate General, CRPF stating inter alia that in terms of compliance of the order dated 4th November, 2015, passed in the said writ petition, the case of 23 other personnel, who had appeared in the same examination LDCE-2006 and were similarly situated with the Inspector/GD Barot Jignesh Kumar, have been assigned seniority as on 1st February, 2011 on the basis of their date of joining and are re-assigned at par with Insp/ GD Barot Jignesh Kumar.

A copy of the aforesaid letter has been handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioners, who states that in view of the aforesaid letter dated 18th December, 2015, he does not press the present writ petition while reserving the right of the petitioners to approach the respondents for availing the consequential benefits and seek any other relief, as they may be entitled to.

Leave as prayed for is granted.

The petition is disposed of.
