The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR No. 697/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 of the IPC registered with PS Harsh Vihar and all proceedings emanating therefrom, be quashed. 2.
It is stated that the allegation of the offence under Sections 406/34 fo the IPC have since been dropped and the other co-accused have already been acquitted.

The present petition is premised on a settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 (complainant) 4.
The complainant is present in Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. She states that the FIR in question was lodged in view of marital disputes that had arisen between her and her husband (petitioner). She states that they since resolved their disputes and have secured a decree of divorce by mutual consent. She states that she joins the petitioner in
praying that the FIR in question be quashed.

The petitioner is present in court and is identified by his counsel. He states that he has no grievance against respondent no.2 and has resolved all disputes with her.

In view of the statements made by the concerned parties (petitioner and respondent no.2) this court considers it apposite to allow the present petition.

In view of the above, FIR No. 697/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 of the IPC registered with PS Harsh Vihar and all proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
