An application under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 ('BNSS') has been preferred on behalf of the petitioner for grant of interim bail for a period of 30 days in FIR No. 255/2021 under Sections 302/323 IPC registered at P.S. Moti Nagar to perform customary rites, since wife of the petitioner is stated to have expired on 06.07.2024. 2.

Learned APP for the State informs that last rites of the wife of petitioner have already been performed. He submits that wife of the petitioner had committed suicide on 06.07.2024 and she had been residing separately from the petitioner for the last two years. 3.

Considering the totality of facts and circumstances, no grounds for interim bail are made out. Application is accordingly dismissed. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
