O R D E R

The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No.293/2018 registered under Sections 323/354B/451/365/506/34 IPC at P.S. Ambedkar Nagar, New Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, the petitioners abused, beat and misbehaved with respondent No.2 and her husband Sodan Kashyap. 3.

Learned APP for the State submits that in the present case the petitioners are the accused persons and that apart from respondent No.2, there is another injured/victim namely Sodan Kashyap. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that husband of respondent No.2 namely Sodan Kashyap has expired. Learned APP for the State, on instructions from the I.O., states that the said factum has been verified.

into a settlement vide Deed of Compromise dated 02.01.2023 and in terms of the settlement, respondent No.2 is now left with no claim whatsoever against the petitioners.

The petitioners and respondent No.2, who are present in the Court, have been identified by their respective counsel as well as by the Investigating Officer.

The petitioners have shown remorse for their conduct and they undertake not to repeat the same in future. Respondent No.2 state that she has entered into the aforesaid Deed of Compromise out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed. 8.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that connected FIR being FIR No.294/2018 registered under Sections 323/342/354/34 IPC at P.S. Ambedkar Nagar, New Delhi has also been quashed today vide CRL.M.C. 9247/2023.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed 11.
