This petition is filed seeking quashing FIR No.863/2023 registered U/s 376/506 IPC with P.S. Mukherjee Nagar on the basis that petitioner and respondent no.2 have got married on 23rd October 2024 and their marriage certificate, issued by the concerned authority, is on record. 2.
Both petitioner nos. 1 and 2 and respondent no.2 are present in the Court and duly identified by the IO. Both petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 confirm that they are living together happily as a married couple. 3.
The allegations in FIR arose out of some misunderstanding between the parties which has since been resolved.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.863/2023 registered U/s 376/506 IPC with P.S. Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
