% 22.08.2016 After some hearing, learned senior counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, states that he would not press the present writ petition and seeks permission to withdraw the same. He submits that withdrawal of the present writ petition would be without prejudice to the right to challenge the detention order, post the execution. Without expressing any opinion on merits, we dismiss the present writ petition as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for. It is open to the respondents to take all measures as per law to execute the detention order under the Conservation of Foreign Exchange, Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act, 1974.
We are informed by the counsel for the UOI that such steps have been initiated.
