O R D E R

The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR No.1099/2014, under Sections 420/468/471/500/120B of the IPC registered with PS Jamia Nagar and all proceedings emanating therefrom, be quashed.

The said FIR was registered at the instance of respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 is present in the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. He states that he has resolved all his disputes and differences with the petitioners and does not wish to pursue the FIR or any criminal proceedings against them.

It is seen that respondent no.2 had alleged that his signatures have been forged on his letter head on a letter and the contents of the letter were also defamatory.

Respondent no.2 also states that he has entered into a settlement with the petitioners and the same is recorded in the Memorandum of

Understanding executed on 28.04.2017. The copy of the same is also placed on record.

The petitioners are present in the Court and also state that they have no grievances against respondent no.2.

In view of the statements made by the concerned parties (petitioners and respondent no.2), this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition.

Accordingly, FIR No.

No.1099/2014 under Section 420/468/471/500/120B IPC registered with PS Jamia Nagar and all proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed. 7.

The concerned parties shall sign this order as an acknowledgment of their statements recorded therein.
