The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent no2 (Sub-Registrar IV) for registering the documents, the sale deed in respect of property bearing No. B-126, New Usman Pur, Delhi, as presented on 23.05.2016. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that certain objections were raised by third parties regarding the registration of the sale deed; however, the said objections are unmerited. He further states that the registering authority (respondent no.2) has also not taken any view with regard to the said objections.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the sale deed cannot be registered as the property falls in the list of awarded lands.

Be that as it may, respondent no.2 cannot continue to hold the sale deed without either registering the same or passing any order declining the

registration. The petitioner's contention that respondent no.2 is required to pass an order is merited.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of by directing respondent no.2 to either register the sale deed in question or pass a speaking order declining the same within a period of four weeks, from today. It is clarified that all rights and contentions of the parties are reserved. 6.
