The challenge in this writ petition is to the appointment of respondent No. 2 (Mr. M. Nasim Haider) as Registrar of the respondent No. 1 - Jamia Millia Islamia University.

Mr. K.K. Mishra, learned counsel for the University, states that the respondent No. 2 is no longer serving as the Registrar of the University and a new Registrar has been appointed in November, 2024. 5.

It therefore appears that the relief sought in the writ petition no longer survives.

The writ petition is therefore disposed of.
