By way of the instant petition, the petitioners seek quashing of FIR bearing No. 269/2022, registered at Police Station Rajouri Garden, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Section 307/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and Section 25/27/54/59 of Arms Act, 1959 alongwith all other consequential proceedings including chargesheet/ supplementary chargesheet emanating from the said FIR. 2.

Court and have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police Station Rajouri Garden, Delhi. 3.
Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that the parties were known to each other, however, due to some misunderstanding, an altercation had taken place between them wherein the respondent nos. 2 and 3 had received injuries, and on their complaint, the FIR had been registered. It is stated that the parties have amicably settled the present matter vide Memorandum of Understanding/Settlement Deed dated 01.11.2022, entered into between them.

On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 2 and 3 who have been identified by the concerned IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by respondent nos. 2 and 3 that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties. Respondent nos. 2 and 3 further stated they have no objection, if the present FIR is quashed. They have also filed their respective affidavits on record in this respect. 5.
In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, without any coercion, therefore, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 6.
Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 269/2022, registered at Police Station Rajouri Garden, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Section 307/34 of IPC and Section 25/27/54/59 of Arms Act alongwith all other consequential proceedings including chargesheet/ supplementary The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
chargesheet emanating from the said FIR are quashed, subject to the petitioners depositing a cost of ₹50,000/- with the Chief Minister Punjab's Relief Fund for the purpose of flood relief, within a period of ten days from date and a copy of the receipt be also filed with the Registry to show compliance of the order.
