The application stands disposed of.

W.P.(CRL) 2325/2024 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, at this stage, he is only pressing prayer 'a', the same reads as under: "a) Issue a writ in' the nature of Mandamus granting reduction in number of surety from two (2) surety to one (1) surety to the petitioner in order F.10(3773023 )/CJ/LEGAL/PHQ/2024/5268 dated: 08.07.2024 passed by the respondent in FIR No. 256/2010, U/S 363/364A/302/201/120B/34 IPC, P.S. Vikas Puri;" 4.

As far as prayer 'b' is concerned, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since two of the convicts in the present FIR have already been released on parole, he does not wish to press the present prayer at this stage.

5.

The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State fairly does not oppose the prayer for reduction in the number of sureties from two to one since the petitioner, on an earlier occasion, was granted furlough by the orders passed by this Court on furnishing a personal bond with one surety. 6.

In view of the above, the respondent is directed to grant the benefit of furlough by permitting the petitioner to furnish one surety of ₹10,000/- along with a personal bond of the like amount.

7.

The petition is allowed in the aforesaid terms. AMIT MAHAJAN, J AUGUST 2, 2024 "SS"
