% 04.10.2016 Although on the previous date Mr Yeeshu Jain had submitted that the section 18 petition had been rejected by the Land Acquisition Director long time back, Mr Yeeshu Jain, upon further verification from the Land Acquisition Collector now states that, in fact, the rejection order was not communicated to the petitioner.

Although there is a noting that the application has been rejected but the copy of the order is also not available on record. Therefore, the only presumption that can be raised is that the petition under section 18 is pending with the Land Acquisition collector . In these circumstances, we direct the Land Acquisition Collector to dispose of the said application within four weeks. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
