O R D E R

% 09.03.2017 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 25th August, 2015, therefore, FIR No. 29/2015 under Sections 354/506 IPC registered at Police Station Chandni Mahal, on the complaint of respondent no. 2 may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Anita, P.S. Chandni Mahal. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure. She further submits that

she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind the fact that settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 before the Mediation Centre and that respondent no. 2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep them entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 29/2015 under Sections 354/506 IPC registered at Police Station Chandni Mahal and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
