By way of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 BNSS, 2023, the petitioner seeks extension of furlough granted to him vide order dated 05.07.2024 on the ground that the petitioner has to undergo Spectoplasty and Functional Endoscopic Sinus surgery. It is informed that the surgery is now advised for 10.08.2024. 2.

Issue notice.

Notice is accepted by the learned Standing Counsel (Crl.) for the State who states that a telephonic verification has been made and the date of surgery has been verified by the concerned doctor. 4.

Considering the aforesaid, the furlough granted to the petitioner on 05.07.2024 is extended by a period of 3 weeks on the same terms and conditions, as contained in the aforementioned order dated 05.07.2024. 5.
