The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 19731, seeks following reliefs:
"a.
To issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate order, thereby directing the Respondents to provide adequate police security cover to the Petitioner both within Delhi and upon his travel to outside Delhi, in view of the repeated & imminent death threats received by the Petitioner, and/or, b.
To pass appropriate orders against the Respondent No. 2 for not acting upon the representations dated 26.02.2023 to 21.07.2023 filed by the Petitioner, c.
To pass any additional direction(s) or order(s) that this Hon'ble Court deems necessary and just in the interest of justice for enhancing the security of the Petitioner."

by Petitioner. In this regard, a status report dated 4th November, 2024, has been filed by the State, which reveals as follows: "1) That the present petition has been filed by the petitioner Sh. Jyotjeet Sabarwal S/o Sh. Jitender Singh Shunty, aged about 29 years, R/o 85, Pratap Khand, Vishwakarma Nagar, Jhilmil Colony, Shahdara, Delhi. In his petition the petitioner states that he is the chairman of the National Disaster Management Cell and a helping hand at his Padma Shree Awardee father's NGO Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal. Being the Chairman of the National Disaster Management Cell the petitioner is frequently invited at far flung places to deliver his Lecture/ Jan Samwad. Being a helping hand at his father's NGO he has to leave his home for cremation of unclaimed dead bodies at crematoriums and immersing their ashes in the Holy River Ganga at Haridwar, Uttrakhand.
2) He further submitted that he has received multiple threats during the period of June and July 2024 from Radical Jihadi Terrorist groups on his Twitter/X handle namely @activistjyot. Owing to the nature of counter terrorism work profile the petitioner is continuously receiving multiple death threats. The petitioner has prayed for adequate security outside the jurisdiction of Delhi.
3) All the complaints referred to and annexed with the present petition have been received in the police station Vivek Vihar, Shahdara, Delhi. In the said complaints the petitioner alleged that he has been receiving threats on his social media platforms through twitter/ whatsapp/instagram. Inquiry into the complaints required technical expertise. Therefore, the said complaints were transferred to Cyber Police Station Shahdara District for identification of the alleged Social Media Accounts and further necessary action. 4) Current status regarding the complaints was sought from the Cyber Police Station Shahdara and it has been learnt that details were sought from the concerned authorities regarding users of the alleged social media accounts. Complete reply from the concerned authority is still awaited.
In addition to the enquiry conducted so far, a letter was sent to IFSO/Dwarka for advance technical assistance. 5) On request of Shahdara District vide letter no. 19287-88/X-1/SHD, Distt., dated, Delhi the 03.07.2024 threat assessment was conducted by Special Cell in the case of petitioner. The threat assessment report dated 09.08.2024 states that "Enquiry into the matter has been conducted through Special Cell (TYR), which has revealed that there is no specific threat to the assessee". 6) Moreover, the concerned beat staff has been briefed to be vigil and 1 "Cr.P.C."

maintain frequent patrolling near the residence of the petitioner. 7) The petitioner is already provided with one PSO from Shahdara District round the clock.
8) Direction passed by the Hon'ble court shall be complied forthwith. Submitted please."

In light of the above status report, in the opinion of the Court, as per the threat assessment made by Respondent, adequate action has been taken on Petitioner's request and no further directions are required to be passed in the present petition.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of, along with pending application.
